ABOUT ME

Hello there!

I'm Jeremy, a Senior TV & Film student at Howard University and an aspiring animation writer.

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by animation. It's a form of storytelling with no limits beyond your imagination. Furthermore, it's proven time and time again to be a medium capable of conveying complex and difficult subjects and themes through unexpected perspectives, while also being able to add levity to what could otherwise be very troubling subjects.

I seek to present stories with sci-fi and fantasy elements that have people of color at the forefront. While these stories may take place in far-off worlds, I want their themes to be relevant and applicable to the present, so be something that forces us to look into ourselves and ask serious questions about the state of mankind to reflect the world we live in and all its different facets. From the diverse to the messy, the bizarre and unexpected to the outright unsettling.

My end goal is to tell stories about people of color from all walks of life. In the animation industry, we still make up only a small minority, which in turn leads to less authentic representation in the media we consume. Ultimately the only way to change this is for people like me to tell our stories in a genuine and honest way.

I hope you all enjoy these stories as much as I enjoy writing them!
